Sort of scales/skin flaps on soles of feet?
The soles of my feet are not dry, the skin is fine, it’s all flexible and fairly soft. You know the tiny grooves in your fingers’ prints? that kind of skin? well, on the soles of my feet, that skin gets somehow loose and it makes a tiny flap. Then it “catches” on the rug and it pulls it loose, in a little strip right along that groove. It rips it almost right off, leaving a thin piece of skin still attached, which I clip off with nail clippers. Then I put antibiotic & a bandaid on it. I don’t know anyone else who gets this. I’ve had three of these in the past couple of days. It gives a VERY sharp pain, like a needle just went in my foot. Like I said, my feet are NOT dry, so I’m wondering what would cause this. skin reaction to footwear material , change your foot wear and apply betnovate oint at bedtime for 7 days , if no improvement go to a doctor ,
