My friend wants to commit suicide and he wants my gun how do i stop him?
We ve been friends for like 8 years and he just lost his son in iraq and he wants to commit suicide how do i get him help i payed for his counciling he didnt go i brought councilers over and he didnt let them in…. what should i do?
First, to be honest he might be feeling desperate and say he’ll commit suicide but he really has no actual intention of doing it. Why I say it’s a bluff? If he wanted to it, he would have done it by now. He would go out and find himself a gun or try another method.
By asking you, he was actually sending a subtle cry for help. Talk to him. Listen to him and be there. Tell him you’re there and will not leave.
Counselors are a good idea, but I think he doesn’t want to talk with strangers. It’ll have to be you. Ask the counselors how to make him talk without forcing too much, maybe they’ll have some clue on it.
