HELP DOPPLER question…what did I hear?
SO I got my doppler today and thought I’d give it a go even though its still early (Im nearly 10 weeks but am very slim build).
I put the gel on and moved it around real slow and then picked up a heart rate in the region of 74 beats per min…which was obviously my heart rate as I could see my chest pulsing at the same time lol.
I continued to move slowly and it suddenly switched to a heart rate in the region of 164 beats per min and the little heart icon starting beating much much faster. It would stay here for a bit then switch back to mine.
This happend quite a few times sort of switching from my heart rate to a much faster one…however I could not hear the faster one, just see it regestering and beating on the monitor.
Was this my baby!?
lol I am so excited! Just needed to check lol I though no way is my heart going that fast I was very relaxed! 
Im worried in case it was a faulty doppler?!
Yes lol- what else would it be that caused a rythmic pulsing of 168bpm?! This is a perfectly jormal heart rate for the gestation too- it will slow to around 120-160bpm as the baby gets bigger.
