Excel: Cutting Information from Left side of Cell (See Example)?
Please see examples below:
The information provided in “currently” is all in one cell and I am trying to remove information at the end of the cell. There is normally one blank space separating the information I need.
Example 1:
Currently: MEDIPORE SOFT CLOTH TAPE, 6″ 12RLS/CS
Desired Result: 12RLS/CS
Example 2:
Currently: TEGADERM TRANSPARENT DRSNG 100/BX 4BX/CS
Desired Result: 4BX/CS

if your data starts at A1
copy&paste this in B1 to extract the last word after the last space
=RIGHT(A1,LEN(A1)-FIND(CHAR(1), SUBSTITUTE(A1,” “, CHAR(1), LEN(A1)-LEN(SUBSTITUTE(A1,” “,”")))))
