Pregnant and keep getting horrible cold sores/fever blisters?
I’ve never gotten one before, the first one was when I was about 3 months, now I’m 23 weeks and this is my fourth one. They stay for about a week, but this one is going on 2 weeks, it keeps cracking, and is very painful not to mention ugly!! I’ve been using NexCare on it, and at first it seemed to be working but now it just keeps cracking over and over. I feel like crap, soooo tired, achy, just sickly. What’s the deal? Can I get something over the counter for these?
Be careful. I had a cold sore when I was pregnant and the cream I usually use says not to use when pregnant..
Ask your medical provider first, but LLysine pills are good, same with zinc. Try to keep it moist so it won’t crack.
If you get any more – when you feel that tingling sensation and the blister before it bursts – keep a piece of ice on it for as long as possible a couple times a day….I swear it stops it from getting huge!
