Electronic Cigarettes Information
Electronic cigarettes are a new way of going green for cigarette smokers. If you are thinking about switching from traditional cigarettes to electronic cigarettes, it would be your best choice you have ever made. A lot of people have used them as a safer alternative to smoking. Also, some people have used them to quit smoking completely.
Electronic cigarettes do not contain any carbon monoxide, second-hand smoke, or tar. Also, there are no burning substances. They do, however, contain nicotine. They contain a smart chip, which turns the product off, if too much nicotine is delivered in a short time. The lit end is just a LED light that gives the appeal of a normal cigarette but is not hot and cannot burn anything.
The vapor will not stain teeth, leave any offensive smokers breath, no stains on walls, and no messy ash or toxic residues to clean up. After you exhale the vapor or smoke, it leaves a pleasant aroma that is quickly odorless, upon dispersal.
The electronic cigarette is broken down into 3 sections: the battery, atomizer, and cartridge. The battery is what keeps the charge to allow it to work, which you could have probably guessed. The atomizer connects to the battery and gets hot enough to activate the vaporization of the nicotine solution, which is found inside of the cartridge. The cartridge is what contains the nicotine. It is a mixture of flavoring, nicotine, and propylene glycol. The cartridge looks just like a filter of a traditional cigarette and is used the same way.
What is propylene glycol? It is a colorless, nearly odorless, clear, viscous liquid with a faintly sweet taste. This is the chemical the FDA had a problem with, without conducting a full research on. It is harmless and can be found inside of a lot of every day used products. Some of these products that contain propylene glycol are medicines, cosmetics, food, toothpaste, mouth wash, food coloring, fragrance oils, deodorant, and a ton of other products. Also, it can be found inside of less-toxic antifreeze, which is what the FDA saw but ignored what else the chemical is found inside. Even Nicorette and Nicoderm CQ contain this chemical.
Electronic cigarettes are almost 3 times cheaper than most popular traditional cigarette cartons. You can find cartridge refill packs anywhere from $10 to $20. It just depends on the brand you choose. The refill packs are typically equal to a carton of cigarettes. The cartridges can be found in a variety of flavors, unlike most traditional cigarettes, too. You can still purchase traditional tobacco and menthol flavors, but with electronic cigarette cartridges, you can also find vanilla, coffee/java, cherry, apple, and so many other flavors to choose from.
Have you ever been on a long flight inside of an airplane and couldn’t wait to have a cigarette? Well, with electronic cigarettes, the smoking bans don’t apply to them, in most areas. You can pretty much smoke them anywhere. I would suggest mentioning to the owner, manager, or just a worker that you are e-smoking. They do look closely identical and people might think it’s a real cigarette. So, you might want to mention it, just to take precautions.
When it comes to taste, in my opinion, electronic cigarettes taste A LOT better. They do take away cravings and feels just like a normal cigarette. The smoke that is produced is a vapor and not actual smoke. The mint or menthol flavors taste sort of like the after taste of scope mouth wash. After you have rinsed out your mouth and you have that fresh taste, when you inhale. It’s similar to that, to give you an idea.
I haven’t switched back to traditional cigarettes, since I first tried them out. I have been using e-cigs for close to 1 and a half years. I was so happy I chose to try them out and would recommend them to anyone who smokes. Just between the price difference and being safer was a good enough reason for me to try them out and I think you should do the same, if you are thinking about doing so.
