The Yahoo! Phone Out service only works on version 7.5 or 8.0 Beta. For version 8, just go to http://messenger.yahoo.com, click on the ‘Get it Now’ button, and follow the installation process. If you are not ready for the beta, just click on the ‘Get version 7.5’ link located directly under the ‘Get it Now’ button to get the current version, version 7.5.
If you have those versions and your balance does not show up in Messenger, contact the new live chat support team. When Yahoo! launched Phone Out, they also launched the live chat support option for us premium (paid) voice users.
