Allergy to something the cat is bringing inside on it’s fur from the outside. Will allergy relief wipes work?
I have a feral cat that adopted from a baby kitten approximately 3 years ago. The cat insists on going outside into the woods and fields to play. In the last few months, when he come inside there are times that break out in a itcy rash. I am not sure what he is getting into since I am allergic to several types of plants and trees but not cats.
I would love to keep him inside but he will scratch you and bite you hard if you don’t let him outside. I was looking at the allergy relief wipes and wasn’t sure if they would help since, I am not really allergic to the cat’s dander but something that he is getting on his fur.

I can only imagine that the cat is dragging in some sort of poison oak, sumac, or ivy which can persist for days on the clothes of humans and recreate a rash. So when the cat rubs on you, the furniture, etc…it can spell itchy disaster for you. You might try to wipe down the cat after it comes back inside with a wet towel or cloth being careful not to let it contact your skin. For the rash you can probably try out one of the benadryl lotions.
