How to improve your hamstring stretch?

Take your time. Go slow…inhale and draw up slightly, exhale and relax and lower. Try doing some yoga as well. There are a few positions that are great hamstring stretches and can teach you how to do it properly and with patience.

Forward bend (sitting)
One legged forward bend (sitting)
Wide ledgged stretch (standing)
Wide legged stretch (sitting)
Down dog pose

Also remember to warm up first. Stretching a cold muscle is more likely to cause pain/injury…plus they will be much tighter.
Don’t expect instant results. It may take weeks of practice before you can place your hands flat on the floor, much less your head to your knees/shins but with diligence it can be done!
