Does the belief that the world is getting worse everyday strike you as ungrateful?
I’ve tried to understand what it is about the “end time” questions that gall me the most, and I’ve come to the realization that the people who believe it is their “end times” seem to think the world is worse than it was in the past:
Anyone want to tell me what is “so much worse”?
Is it…
-massive reduction in amount of people in slavery
-women having the freedom to work in most of the world.
-increased medicine, information and education
-improvements in the way we farm leading to less pollution.
-end of the cold war.
-removal of institutional racism from most governments.
The world isn’t perfect, but it sure is better than it was 100, 1000 and 10,000 years ago…
I don’t know about you, but my grandfather fought nazis to guarantee our freedom, and my mom protested the use of environmental toxins…
I’m grateful to them, and I think the world they’ve made, while not being perfect, is in many ways a much better place…

Absolutely. I’d rather live now than at any other point in history, and in 100 years or so overpopulation and global warming might be huge global problems.
I think our generation is exceedingly lucky to be alive now.
